David Willert is a licensed mental health counselor, employed by Psychiatry for Healthy Living ((Wendy L. Weinstein M.d. P.C.) and is working at a satellite location offering clinical therapy with Christian faith based foundations. David is a retired police officer (of 12 years) and brings real world experiences along with academic knowledge and clinical training into sessions. David is a firm believer that Christian faith and clinical practice can co-exist when it come to mental health therapy. No, I don’t read you The Bible, give you verses and prayers to recite, and force faith on you. I am clinically licensed in NYS and we do clinical mental health work. Should YOU decide YOU want to talk about God in your life, my office creates a safe place to do so. I know it’s easy to just say you’re “livin the dream,” but seriously, I encourage you to take that first step to reach out and invest in your mental well-being.
As a satellite location for Psychiatry for Healthy Living (Wendy L. Weinstein M.d. P.C.), I desire to offer licensed clinical therapy in conjunction with Christian faith. My vision is to provide licensed clinical counseling with services that include: individual therapy for OCD, anxiety, panic, depression, life adjustments, marital stress, couples therapy, and relationship abuse/narcissism recovery (those exposed to narcissistic partners).
As a clinical mental health therapist and employee of Psychiatry for Healthy Living (Wendy L. Weinstein M.d. P.C.), I work with adults from a trauma-informed and person- centered perspective. I specialize in working with couples, first responders, individuals struggling with life adjustments, anxiety (and phobias), crisis, trauma, grief, narcissism/narcissistic recovery in relationships, depression, and obsessive-compulsive disorder.
